How to set a custom domain in Webflow
This tutorial assumes you have already purchased your domain name. The steps here use Godaddy but can easily be adapted to whatever service you purchased your domain from.
Webflow
1. Go to webflow.com/dashboard
2. Click the 3 dots next to your webflow project
3. Click on Settings
4. Click on Publishing
5. Click on Add a Custom Domain
6. Type your domain
7. Click on Add Domain
8. Click on Issues detected
9. Click on proxy-ssl.webflow.com
This will copy it to your clipboard
# Godaddy
10. Open a new tab with godaddy.com and log in
11. Click on the dropdown next to your name
12. Click on My Products
13. Click on the DNS button of the domain you want to connect
14. Click on Add a new record
Throughout this walkthrough, my Godaddy language switched from English to French but all the buttons are in the same place so it's still very intuitive and understandable!
15. Click on Kind
16. Click on CNAME
17. Type "www"
18. Paste input
19. Click on Add more records

20. Click on Kind
21. Click on TXT
# Godaddy
22. Type "@"
23. Paste input
24. Click on Save all recordings
25. Go to your webflow tab
26. Click on Check Status
27. We have one connected, now we will work on the other!
# Webflow
28. Click on the first value to copy it to your clipboard
29. Go back to Godaddy
30. Click on Add a new record
31. Click on Kind
# Godaddy
32. Click on A
33. Type "@"
34. Paste input
35. Click on Add more records
36. Go to back to your webflow tab
37. Click on the second value
38. Go to back to your Godaddy tab
39. Click on Type
# Webflow
40. Click on A
41. Type "@"
# Godaddy
42. Paste input
43. Click on Save all recordings
44. Go to webflow.com
45. Click on Check Status
